“Picture a 10,000 square foot, two story tree house with the accommodations of a Four Seasons Resort. Add in the adjacency to the beach, the gourmet food prepared by Angelica and you have a magical experience like no other.

“El Tumbo de las Olas is a tropical paradise where family, food, and fun come together to create unforgettable memories. A true getaway, where laughter echoes, flavors delight, and the warmth of togetherness fills the air……..Feeling like you’ve come home.”

“El Tumbo De Las Olas is an amazing get-away that guarantees an other-worldly experience.  Each morning we awoke from our beautiful king size canopy bed to an amazing fresh breakfast, and the sound of nearby howler monkeys.  We dipped in the pool, then walked to nearby beaches for amazing waves or fishing, and we explored rivers and jungles without ever stepping in a vehicle.  Felipe and his family took care of our every need and the meals were better than many 5 star restaurants.  The rooms are amazing, the scenery incredible, the vibe totally chill, and I guarantee you won’t go home the same person.”

“Costa Rica brought us unimaginable experiences from the moment we arrived. We fell asleep to nightly rainstorms that made way for beautiful, tranquil sunrises. We enjoyed delicious food, friendly people, and the ever unique house. My family will never forget staying in El Tumbo de las Olas, and we are eternally grateful we got to experience it. The closeness to raw nature made our hearts happy and filled our souls with the spirit of “Pura Vida.”

“Tumbo is truly paradise on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula.  The atmosphere is casual in a very upscale fashion, with great detail and attention paid to make guests stay enjoyable. One of our favorite things to do inside the beautiful home was to sit on the upper open-air deck where there are a number of chairs and a hammock, and watch the monkeys fly by in the trees in front of us.

Probably the single best things about this home are its caretakers, Felipe & Angelica.  Felipe will coordinate and make arrangements for just about anything you might imagine to make your stay more enjoyable.  The food is AMAZING including the most delicious fruit you’ve ever tasted and homemade bread. Everything is prepared from scratch and was incredible”
